Star of the Week

Lily was our star this week!

We really enjoyed Lily's presentation of her poster, poem and photos.  It was fun to learn about all of her pets - and especially to hear all of their names - they're very creative!

Lily's special guests today were her mom, grandma and little sister.

Prefixes, Suffixes and Roots

We recently worked with prefixes, suffixes and roots during our Reading class.  Students worked hard in groups to make extensive lists of words from their prefix, suffix and root cards.  

Great job, 4th graders!

Star of the Week

Our star this week is Stephanie!

Stephanie shared her poster, poem and photos with the class today.  We learned that her favorite movie is The Hunger Games, she wants to be an artist when she grows up, and that she likes to bake cookies!

Her mom, Jennifer, was her special guest for her presentation today.  Thanks for being our star, Stephanie!

Star of the Week

Our star this week is Caden!

We really enjoyed learning more about Caden today when he shared his poster, poem and photos.  

He really enjoys playing hockey and spending time with his family.  He likes to fish too, and is very lucky to be able to do that in his own backyard!

Caden's special guests were his mom and dad.  Thanks for doing a great job, Caden!

The Start of a New School Year!

It was wonderful to meet my new students and their families last night at our open house!  I'm looking forward to a fabulous year in 4th grade at Sibley.  Enjoy your last few days off 4th graders!  I'll see you on Tuesday!

End of the Year Party

Who wouldn't have fun with an egg toss, water balloon fight, kickball game, pizza and cupcakes?

The 4th graders sure did!

A big thanks to our room parents who put on a fabulous end of the year party for us!  We had a blast!

Author Study Tea

The 4th graders did an excellent job on their Author Study projects!  It was great to see everyone's boards set up for our open house.  I think the parents and special guests who came had a great time listening to the students' presentations.
