Star of the Week

Our Star this week was Olivia!

Olivia looked adorable for her presentation today!  She wrote a great "I Am" poem that made us giggle.  Her pictures were fabulous.  We saw how silly she was as a little girl!  She also read us the extra special letter she wrote for her grandpa when he passed away.

Her special guests were her grandma, grandpa, mom and Dalton.  Thanks for being our star this week, Olivia!

Star of the Week

Our Star this week was Ellie R.!  We really enjoyed Ellie's photos; especially the ones of her and her sister in costumes.  The unicorns were very cute!  She did a great job reading her poem to the class! 

Her special guest was her mom.  Thanks for being our star, Ellie!

Happy Holidays to the Air Force!

Our class was asked by Officer Jay Crabtree to make holiday cards for his son and friends in the Air Force who are stationed in Fort Lee, Virginia.  They won't be able to make it home for the holidays this year, so we agreed to help brighten their day by sending them holiday cards.  

On another military note, we got a phone call from Kuwait thanking us for the cards we sent the troops for Veteran's Day.  It was so great to know they got our package and appreciated the cards we made!

Star of the Week

Our star this week is Sydney!

Sydney worked hard on her Star of the Week papers and was excited to share her information and photos with the class.  We loved the photo of her almost kissing a toad - it was so cute!  We also enjoyed seeing her chubby baby photo!

Sydney's special guest was her dad.  Great job, Sydney!

Our Star this week is Ashley!  

Ashley talked a lot about her kittens in her "I Am" poem, just like we knew she would!  The photos of her when she was little were very cute, and the class seemed very interested in the camel photo she shared.

Thank You Veterans!

Last week we made thank you cards for veterans.  Some students made cards for friends or relatives that have served our country.  Other students made cards for the soldiers who served overseas with Karter's aunt.  We want our veterans to know how much we appreciate their sacrifices!  Thank you!

Read-In!

On Friday, December 2nd we're having a Read-In!

Students can wear comfortable clothes to school that day. They need to bring a blanket or sleeping bag, a pillow or stuffed animal, several books, a water bottle, and a snack for our Read-In.  We're excited to celebrate reading!

Star of the Week

Our Star of the Week is Carson!

Carson did a fantastic job presenting his star of the week photos, information and poem.  We thought the photos of him when he was little were great!  We especially liked his Kindergarten photo and the picture of the "Big Guy" and "Little Guys".

Carson's special guests were his mom and brother.  Thank you for being our star this week, Carson!  We enjoyed learning more about you!

Our Star of the Week this week is Leslie!

Leslie did a great job presenting her Star of the Week information, poem, photos and medals today.  We thought it was fun to see the picture of her dressed up for Easter in a frilly dress and hat! It was a side of Leslie we hadn't seen before!

Leslie's special guest was her Grandma.  Thanks for being our star this week, Leslie!

Star of the Week

Our Star of the Week is Karter!

Karter set the record for number of guests at his Star of the Week presentation with 10 people!  Wow!

His "I Am" poem and many of his photos reflected his love of hunting and the outdoors.  We thought the photos of him when he was little were really cute.  We learned that Karter had Thunder hockey players that lived with him as well.  What a great experience!

Our Star of the Week this week is Chase!

Chase worked very hard on preparing for his presentation today. 

We were all impressed by the blue and red ink on his paperwork! 

Chase had very cute pictures of himself when he was younger, and he had great stories to share about his family in the pictures.

Chase's special guests were his mom, dad, brother, sister, grandma and grandpa.
