Good Samaritan and Hidden Creek

On Monday, October 3rd we'll make our first trip to the Good Samaritan Society and Hidden Creek Assisted Living to visit with residents.  We'll make crafts for them, sing songs, read books and play board games with them.  We visited with two representatives from Good Sam and Hidden Creek on Tuesday to learn more about what we'll be doing on our visits.

We're all very excited about spending the first Monday afternoon of each month with the residents!

Star of the Week

Our Star of the Week this week is Marty!

Marty's "I Am" poem was filled with comments about him wanting a dog.
Do you think he'll get one in the future?

Marty's special guests were his mom, his Grandma Elaine, and his Grandma Jean and Grandpa Larry.
We were excited to have them in our classroom for Marty's special moment!

Pajama Day - Thursday, October 6th

Llama Llama Red Pajama

The Minnesota Reading Corps is sponsoring Pajama Day at all the elementary schools on Thursday, October 6th.  We'll read the story together as a class on the Smartboard as we compete to Read for the Record!

Wear your pajamas to school to celebrate reading!

This Week's Star of the Week

Our Star of the Week this week is Emma!

Emma did a fantastic job reading her "I Am" poem and sharing her "About Me" information with the class.  She shared her photos with us and was very energetic and animated when she talked about her family and her new puppy.

Thanks for being our first Star, Emma!

Welcome to Fourth Grade!

We've had a great start to our year!

We've been working hard the past two weeks getting to know each other and the expectations and routines of our classroom.  I'm very excited to spend the next nine months getting to know this fabulous group of 4th graders.

We're going to work hard this year and celebrate our successes along the way.

Here's to a great year in 4th grade!
