Star of the Week

Rylee is our star this week!

We all got a kick out of Rylee's photos; especially the one her mom made her bring in that was embarrassing.  It was very funny!

We learned in her "I Am" poem that she loves Katy Perry and her favorite song is California Girls.  Even her dad was surprised of this fact!

Rylee's special guest today was her dad.

Star of the Week

Our star this week is Anh!

We were all very interested in Anh's photos from Laos and Vietnam.  He had great photos showing his parents' culture!  

His "I Am" poem was very well written and he did a great job sharing his information with the class.

Kirk Martin's Presentation Rescheduled

Kirk  Martin's presentation has been rescheduled, so he won't be in Albert Lea this Wednesday. 

When I find out the new date I'll let you know.

Kirk Martin is coming back to Albert Lea! 

He and his son Casey spoke at a district staff development day two years ago regarding ways to stay CALM and effective strategies in dealing with kids with ADHD and behavior difficulties.  He will be presenting on Wednesday, January 25 at the Southwest Little Theater from 6:30 – 8:30 pm.

Star of the Week

Bryan is our star this week!

Bryan shared many photos from North Carolina, and we liked his photos on the beach of him and his brothers body surfing.  His "I Am" poem was wonderful!  We also enjoyed the photos of his mohawk!

              Bryan's special guests were his dad and Jamey.

Kaylee is our star this week!

Kaylee had a great "I Am" poem that she shared with the class.  She also had adorable photos of her when she was young.  Even though she said her heart was pounding before her presentation, she did a great job!

Star of the Week

Our star this week is Koby!

Koby made us laugh all day today!  He started by reading his Roll-a-Story during morning meeting which was based around an evil taco, and wouldn't you know tacos came up in his "I Am" poem too!  

We enjoyed the photos of Koby when he was little, and the action shot of him rounding third base in a baseball tournament.

Koby's special guests were his mom and sister.  Thanks for being our star, Koby!
