Nonfiction Reading Powers

In Reading class we've been working on studying the Nonfiction Reading Powers.  This week we used The Star Tribune and read articles about Jack Jablonski (hockey player) and Zach Gabbard (basketball player).  They are both student athletes who are working to overcome obstacles they're facing from sports related injuries.

I was so impressed with our class's ability to comprehend the newspaper text, ask questions, and make inferences and connections as we read.  Great job, 4th graders!
